Join Farmworker Justice for a Webinar
January 25, 2:00-3:00PM EST

Join Farmworker Justice’s Aliados project for a webinar on HIV/AIDS. This English-language webinar is geared toward organizations and individuals with little to no experience with HIV or those seeking a refresher course.  During the hour-long session we will be discussing HIV basics like prevention, transmission, signs and symptoms, and testing.

HIV/AIDS disproportionately impacts Latinos.  Whether we work in pesticide safety, immigration, education, or advocacy, HIV/AIDS is affecting our Latino community at an alarming rate. Farmworker Justice has embarked on a new HIV prevention initiative called Aliados which is supported through CDC’s Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative (AAALI).  Our goal is to engage non-HIV organizations in HIV prevention and provide them the tools they need toincorporate HIV prevention messages into their day-to-day communications.

About AAALI/Aliados

The Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative (AAALI) is a multifaceted communications campaign designed to refocus national attention on the domestic HIV crisis and reduce HIV incidence in the United States.   Through this project, Farmworker Justice will provide free training, information, webinars, and tools to strengthen organizations’ HIV-related awareness, knowledge, and action within Latino communities across the United States.
